Applications are now CLOSED for the 2019-2020 SIV Internship.
The volunteer income tax assistance (VITA) program is a year-long internship that begins in November with training and ends in April.
Through VITA, our interns will be providing free tax filing services for families and individuals with income lower than $54,000 annually. No previous experience or knowledge of taxes is required!
We will be providing workshops to help our interns in passing the IRS Basic Certification Exam. All our interns will need to pass the IRS exam, in order to be able to fill tax returns for the tax season. Interns who complete the requirements of the program are eligible to obtain transcript notation. Please be sure of your availability for Fall, Winter, and early Spring quarter if accepted into the program.
